Handsy

Every month

Ask the assistants who to call. See whether they say you.

A homeowner with a problem used to open a search box. Plenty of them now ask an assistant instead, and it answers with two or three names. Nobody sends you a record of whether one of them was yours.

We do, every month, with the answers attached.

How it works

Four things, once a month.

  1. 01

We write the questions a homeowner would ask.

About twenty of them, for your trade and your town. Not "best contractor," but the sentences people actually type: who to call for a roof leak, who is any good near a zip code, what a job like this should cost.

  2. 02

We ask the assistants, every week.

ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google. The same questions, week after week, so the answer is a line over time and not a screenshot from a good day.

  3. 03

We keep the answer, word for word.

Whether you were named, who was named instead, and the full reply as it came back. That is the receipt. You can read what was said about your trade in your town without taking our word for any of it.

  4. 04

Once a month you get the whole thing.

What changed since last month, what we did that might explain it, and the weeks it went the wrong way. When we do not know why it moved, the report says we do not know.

What it will not say

The report cannot print a promise.

There is a list of sentences it is not allowed to contain. If one of them ever appears, the report fails to build rather than reaching you. That is a rule in the code, not a policy in a document somebody can decide to bend on a bad month.

The reason is plain. Which businesses an assistant names moves on its own, hard, for reasons nobody outside the model can see. A share of these answers can fall by most of itself inside two weeks with nothing about the business having changed. So we will not promise you a place in them. We will show you the place you had.

The same rule runs everywhere else. No promise about calls, about work, or about what any of this earns you.

Where this stands

Built, and not yet run for anybody.

The part that asks the questions and keeps the answers is written. It knows the questions for each of the trades, it speaks to the three assistants, and it files every reply.

What it has not done is run a month for a real contractor, because nobody is on Handsy yet. We could show you a sample filled with a business we made up. Every other company in this category would. You would learn nothing from it, and the first true thing you learned about us would be that we invent things.

So the first report is yours, and the first month of it is the answer to whether any of this was worth paying for.
